I recently compiled 2.4.9 with GCC 3.0.1 and installed it.It beings booting, says it's uncompressing Linux, then reports an error message. It complains that it "ran out of data" and halts the system.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas? Yes, I"ve tried google groups. No, I didn't see anything useful (common suggestions were to check to be sure the user had run lilo after installing the kernel, and to be sure that sufficient free space was available to compile the kernel and write the image...). Thanks, Sean
