1st) There is a meeting tonight (Wed. 6:30, VH1232 - we'll really be
there in that room at that time).
a)I hope to give a Cascading style sheets talk. It will be short,
so those of you who already know CSS won't be bored out of your mind.
b)I am sick, so said talk may or may not make it all the way to the
end.
c)If anyone else really wanted to do a talk, demo, or etc..., this
meeting might be a good time for it.
2nd) There will not be an installfest this weekend unless multiple (2
or more) people express interest in it, and would not be able to make
it to one a couple weeks later.
a)The room reservation wouldn't go through because I have yet to
renew TSLUG's organizational status thingie at the CSI.
b)Since I didn't have the room, I couldn't get an ad in the Index.
c)Without a room or advertising I don't feel that the installfest
will draw many people or work out very well.
d)If multiple people are interested/locked into an installfest this
weekend, I'll get a room for it - the sooner I know people need this,
the better.
e)My opinion is that we'll get much better turn out if we wait
awhile, let the MTCS profs. know about the 'fest, put up posters, and
get an ad in the Index. If mine is an isolated opinion, tell me and
I'll at least get a room reserved (I will be renewing our 'recognition'
by the university today).
f)Sorry.
3rd) That IPod article was cool/fascinating/intriguing(sp?). For what
it's worth, 10GB models sell for no less than $340. Yuck.
So that's that. Again, I apologize for messing with people's schedules
like this.
