Hi Amrow,
The problem was resolved, this was made as follow.
Under Display properties---> effects there is an option that say "Hide icons when the
desktop is viewed as a Web page", we removed the click from this option and all work
fine. This is we can put a new wall paper and icons continue appearing on desktop.
