Canon's  i70 mobile printer successor!


The long waited Canon i80 mobile printer was finally released in 
markets. The i 80 uses same amount of space as the i79 but with 
different dimensions. Canon has will be releasing new series that 
will prove worthy in the mobile printers world. Featuring in the i80 
is the PictBridge which essentially allows you to connect your canon 
compatible digital camera or DV camcorder for direct prints without 
using the pc. Moreover, the i80 features an infrared port for 
wireless connectivity with your notebook. Canon offers optional 
bluetooth, which will enable the i80 to communicate with other 
bluetooth ready devices. For tried and true wired wired users a 
single USB 2.0 port can be used between your printer an a pc or a 
notebook. The i80 can be also equipped with a portable battery, a 
standalone litiuim ion battery or even a car power unit to make your 
car a mobile office. Canon i80 uses a single black and a single color 
cartridge and is capable of printing up to the resolution of 4800 X 
1200 dpi. The i80 can beloaded with a maximum sheets of up to 30 
wieghing at 7.7 kg. In keeping with the mobile printing capabilities 
the i80 itself wieghs around 1.81 kg making it extremly to move 
around. However the HP 450 series is and always will be a great 
competetor for the canon i series. HP 450 will be discussed and 
highlighted in a coming soon version of this summarizations.
