Dear Amr and tsolver group,
Already five years?! Thanks to the great founder of this group "Amrow Hijazi"
there were some golden times of IT discussions and thousands of IT problems
solved online. I still remember the very first steps of this group with few
members and a lot of activities. Perhaps the most active member on an average
in those last years is the founder of the group. Certainly, there were several
other active members as well.
The group is lately receiving a lot of spam. Unfortunately, the rotation of the
spam sender address and ID that is usually not reflecting his true ID detracts
from the efforts in controlling this problem. Moderators and owner of the group
play an important role everyday to manually filter the messages.
As the owner mentioned, we are now about 350 members but with much less
activity. I suggest some orientation in the subjects presented to suit every
member and within the topic of the group. What I mean is a real continuous
discussion in several IT topics and not just by sending a problem and receiving
the answer and the group goes back to rest.
The topics I propose are:
1. Our speciality is presenting the IT problems and obtaining online solutions.
2. Members gather latest IT news and summarize new products in the market for
others (including software and hardware).
3. Members should go into comparing new products and giving self opinions and
critical judgements.
4. The prices of the products should also be discussed and whether they are
realistic locally and worldwide.
5. Special experiences with products being used by members. Experience with
service centers and guarantees.
6. Tutorial subjects in IT and related topics. (This was a great digest one
time).
7. Related topics such as electronic components, materials used, etc...
