Dear Alberto,

I Bilve that whenever I have such problem, I always look at the
compatibility side, means I have some doubts about that, first you
have to open the Windows compatibility site:

A.Make sure that the model is listed there, I've search there for
sometimes and I found allot of error concerning Mylex, second please
follow the normal instructions about the RAID installation.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/archive/en-us/dnarntpro00/html/RAID.asp

B. From your description I thought that this issue can occur because
Windows 2000 Plug and Play (PnP) detects both controllers during
Setup and then tries to load their corresponding drivers. A resource
conflict exists when each driver tries to control the same device on
the computer, causing the RAID device configuration information to be
lost. Like MS says, check the firmware, I've gone through allot of
manuals to read about your problem. Any how.

1. Boot into the Mylex RAID configuration utility by pressing ALT-R
when prompted by the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS).
2. Click Perform Administration on..., click Physical Device, and
then click the first offline drive.
3. Click Advanced Options, click Make Drive Online, and then click
Yes if you receive a warning about data corruption making drive
online.
4. Repeat the preceding steps until all drives that were reset by
Windows 2000 Setup are back online.

C. Have you use the HOT pare here, please try to read page 60 and 67
in this manual:

d/raid/gam/er_2000_install_guide.pdf

36Gb. disk, after this, the disk didnt begin the rebuild. For this
reason, we load from the Mylex controler Bios and tryed to execute
the rebuild option BUT it didnt start.
