Dilahirkan pada 14 Mei 1976, merupakan cahayamata ketiga kepada Dato' Haji
Dusuki Ahmad dan Datin Hajjah Nik Nooraini Nik Yahya. Mendapat pendidikan
menengah di Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Labu (SMAP Labu), Negeri
Sembilan. Dalam pengajian pendidikan tinggi, beliau memiliki Ijazah
Sarjana Muda Kepujian dalam Perakaunan serta mendapat Anugerah Pelajar
Terbaik (Anugerah Rektor) di Konvokesyen Universiti Islam Antarabangsa
Malaysia (UIAM) tahun 2000. Beliau telah menerima Anugerah Pelajar Terbaik
Perakaunan Peringkat Kebangsaan daripada Malaysian Association of
Certified Public Accountant (MACPA) dan Hadiah Pingat Emas untuk Anugerah
Graduan Terbaik bidang Perakaunan Peringkat Kebangsaan yang dianugerahkan
oleh Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia.

Dr. Asyraf Wajdi meneruskan pengajian sarjana (M.Sc with distinction in
Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance) dan Ijazah Kedoktoran (Islamic
Banking and Finance) di Universiti Loughborough, United Kingdom. Kini
beliau bertugas sebagai Penolong Professor dan pensyarah di Kulliyyah
Ekonomi dan Pengurusan, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM).

Penglibatan dalam bidang perbankan dan ekonomi Islam diteruskan dengan
pembabitan beliau sebagai ahli kepada International Association for
Islamic Economics dan penulisan jurnal/makalah akademik tempatan serta
antarabangsa.Beliau juga adalah Ahli Panel Syariah Affin Islamic Bank.
Dalam bidang latihan dan pembangunan modal insan, Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki
juga terlibat dalam memberi latihan dan ceramah untuk kakitangan institusi
seperti Petronas Gas Berhad, Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank), RHB Bank,
Institut Tadbir Awam Negara (INTAN), dan Bank Negara.

Dalam aktiviti masyarakat, Dr. Asyraf Wajdi banyak terlibat dengan program
Kementerian Belia dan Sukan melalui persatuan belia. Beliau pernah menjadi
Presiden Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Islam Malaysia (PKPIM) dari tahun
1999-2000, Dewan Tertinggi Majlis Belia Malaysia (MBM) dan menjadi ahli
kepada Majlis Perundingan Belia Nasional (MPBN) 2000-2001 yang
dipengerusikan oleh Menteri Belia dan Sukan Malaysia. Dr. Asyraf Wajdi
juga telah dilantik menjadi pakar rujuk Majlis Perundingan Belia Wilayah
Persekutuan bermula tahun 2006. Kini beliau menjadi panel penulis Jabatan
Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) dan penulis di Ruang Agama, Mingguan
Utusan pada setiap minggu. Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki juga telah diamanahkan
menjadi Pengerusi Yayasan Darul Hanan sebuah yayasan yang menjalankan
program pendidikan dan kebajikan di Tumpat, Kelantan.

ASST. PROF. DR. ASYRAF WAJDI DUSUKI

Education: B.Acc. (Hons), IIUM; MSc. (Islamic Economics, Banking and
Finance), Loughborough University; Ph.D (Islamic Banking), Loughborough
University.

Experience: Dr. Asyraf is a young scholar graduated from IIUM in the year
2000. Upon completing his degree in Accounting and having been awarded as
the Best Accounting Graduate of IIUM, Malaysian Association of Certified
Public Accountant (MACPA) and Harvard Business School Alumni Club, he
joined IIUM as an Assistant Lecturer. He then pursued his Master degree in
Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance at Loughborough University United
Kingdom in 2001. Immediately after completing his Master with Distinction,
he started his PhD in the same area. Within 3 years, he successfully
obtained his PhD in Islamic Banking from Loughborough University.

Research and publication: He has presented papers at both local and
several international conferences including London and Jakarta. His
research areas of interest including Islamic Economics, Banking and
Finance, Islamic Accounting, Islamic Worldview and Ethics, Corporate
Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance and Business Ethics.
