Hi, You're going to have trouble if fuse itself isn't installed. I've had the same problem: the fusermount binary needs to be suid root in order to permit mounting of fuse filesystems, but obviously an unpriviliged user can't set that. By the sound of it, libfuse.so is missing on your system, so I'd guess that /usr/bin/fusermount isn't currently installed. If that's the case I think your only course of action is probably to ask the administrator to install it for you.
It would be nice if there was a strace-based linux backend for this sort of situation, I guess. Regards, Neil
