Maybe I misunderstand, but I think that Fedor and I are
in agreement about the need to replace Criteria with
something.  If you have been following earlier threads,
you will notice that Jon's primary comment on this
subject was to post the policy about deprecation.  I'm
quite sure that anything we do to replace Criteria will
have to continue to support existing code for some time
to come.  That or it will be soundly rejected.  8^)
