project.xml - dependencies

Hi,

I noticed the following thing:

turbine-2:                      fulcrum:

<dependency>                    <dependency>            
  <id>javamail</id>               <id>mail</id>         
  <version>1.2</version>          <version>1.2</version>
</dependency>                   </dependency>           

<dependency>                         <dependency>                     
  <id>jaf</id>                         <id>activation</id>                   
  <version>1.0.1</version>             <version>1.0.1</version>       
  <jar>activation-1.0.1.jar</jar>    </dependency>  
</dependency>                        

(Hmm. On http://jakarta.apache.org/turbine/fulcrum/dependencies.html
there _is_ jaf but there is also a fourth column called
"required". Isn't this automatically created from the CVS? )
    
What is the "right" way to create a project.xml entry? Does anyone object
to a cleanup?
