This is exactly how I have extended Turbine User in my application. I
need to go back over it carefully and make sure that I did not make any
syntax errors.

A big question that I have is one the solution mentioned at the end. It
talks about patching Object.vm to allow addChildObject(obj) to work
properly through the extended user object. I am not sure if this is
still applicable.

Quinton,

The reason the newapp example was used in the past was so that people
could easily experiment with the extend user mechanism on a hopefully
familiar application before attempting to apply it to their real and
most likely significantly larger projects.

While sticking with the newapp example would follow this lead, if the
example you have used is easily understandable then people should be
able to apply it to newapp or their own project without too much
trouble.

The most important thing is that the extend user howto document is
updated in an accurate and detailed manner. I leave it to others that
are up on 2.2 to verify your instructions.

Excellent to see some progress on documentation. I only wish Pier would
respond to my email messages about setting up the wiki.

Cheers,

Scott
