Have you guys heard of keel: http://www.keelframework.org/
It share a lot of familiarities with where turbine might go for its 3rd release. It is based on Avalon. The container, if no mistakes, is Fortress (almost final). We could share a lot of components. Also, like Plexus, I think you can have multiple front-end applications inside a same web application repository. Finally, it might be interesting to look how security is integrated inside the framework.
