This is unneccessary and rude. IMHO.

Jason, people are actually using these addresses without checking all
the mailing list articles all the time. You might want to consider
thinking about things like this when moving and changing things.
Backward compatibility is good.
Henning,

Do you even realize what happened? Again you show pretty much zero
understanding of how things work.

For one, I followed a procedure laid out by the apmail group. They have
done this before. You realize that there intent was to transfer everyone
on the old mailing lists to the new mailing lists. As far as I know this
is what happened. Brian and Sam did the transfers so if someone tried to
send a message before they received a message they might have got caught
out but leaving both address running is a severe burden on the already
over burdened mail machine.

So do you get it now Henning? Or do I have to explain things even
further. I suggest you think about what you say before sticking both
your feet in addition to anything else you can find to put in your
mouth.

The changes were made with the guidance of the people that run the whole
show here. I tried to make the transition as smooth as possible so just
relax. I actually do things around here instead of constantly bitching,
whining and complaining.
FYI: forwarding requests from the old address to the new address is as simple as echoing one line to a file. Is this something you would like done? If so, for which addresses?
