"deprecation" doesn't mean "will be removed". It mainly means "be
aware that this can be removed in the next release". If there are good
reasons to keep this, I have no problem with removing the deprecation.
Same goes to whole classes, e.g. VelocityECSLayout where I'm still not

Can you explain a little further? I don't remember me deprecating this
and I have no idea what this is used for. And I haven't much time to
dig into this right now.
