How much use does JCS actually get? I looked around and aside from Hibernate, I couldn't find any projects that use it. Although I see you did just make a bunch of commits..
If it is a supported/thriving product, should the GlobalCacheService use it as the actual caching engine? I was thinking of replacing/adding the home grown one with something else..?
