JCSComponent already is using commons configuration, so it's okay. It seems to be, Maven (at least the current download) that is causing the problem as the configure() method in the lifecycle.Configurable interface in the stratum-xx.jar included with Maven references org.apache.stratum.configuration.Configuration while the newest version of stratum (the one that JCS wants to use and the one I got from the CVS) references org.apache.commons.configuration.Configuration. It seems to me that the current version of Maven (the one from the website not the CVS) is not compatible with the recent dissolution of stratum. Or I could just be an idiot who has no idea what the hell he is talking about ;) regards, scott
