With ANT 1.5 now being beta and, in my experience, stable. What are the impediments to Maven switching to ANT 1.5?
This is particularly important for people using Mavan to do either JDK 1.4 development (ant 1.4.1 javadoc target doesn't support the jdk 1.4 assert keyword) and j2ee development (deployment etc). Add to this paths being passed to called build files I think there is a compelling argument for the shift. I've been running 1.5 on all my projects for some time now and had no problems running 1.4 build files on either linux or windows.
