We could generate the default.properties for each of the plugins from their
properties.xml (as you've specified), as part of the bootstrap, too.

Allowed values would be a good idea indeed.
The defaults however, are already in property files, so are easy to
read.
Maybe adding a pointer to the correct property file or the plugin would
be very usefull..
