Hi,

Glad it worked - I think this is a common problem that would be worth documenting :)

I'm afraid I didn't recognise your other error, but I can only think you should check
that the format specified in the plugin.properties file for checkstyle does exist in
the plugin directory. More likely, I suspect, is that it just won't work on Maven
pre-b5 as I think there were a lot of changes in that one. I'm new to Maven so didn't
see the b4 stuff at all.

Good luck though,

     Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks
It really worked...

I don't if you have seen my last mail...
But
I send my problem again just for see you could help me,
It's the same problem that Randall had:

The <checkstyle> task doesn't support the nested "formatter" element.

I'm having so much trouble figuring this problem, i rephrase that the version i use is
Maven b4.

Best regards,

           Mike

Hi Luis,

Have you tried upping the heap size? Add this to maven.bat to do so:

     SET MAVEN_OPTS=-Xmx128m

Java is limited to 64MB(?) by default, which is why you won't see it eating up your
main RAM...

Hope this helps,

     Mike

interesting thing is that i still see some memory available, and at the point of the
fail the process han't done any paging, yet!!!! Am i doing something wrong?!?!? Please
