That got your attention didn't it! [This message is primarily targeted at Stephen H. as I understand that he is the main torque committer at present, however Martin (who is doing the releases) and any other committer/contributor with an opinion should certainly express it.]
What are your thoughts about preparing for a 3.0 final release of torque? I would like to suggest is that if there is ever going to be a 3.0 release there must ultimately be a feature freeze followed by a period of rigorously addressing any issues that are reported. Martin has indicated that turbine 2.2 is already feature frozen and that a turbine 2.2 release will be simultaneous to (I would say after, but not long after) a torque 3.0 final release. One of the reasons I am pushing for the issue tracking to be tidied up for the remaining turbine projects is to enable this process to kick off. Anyway, I am seeking your opinion as to the way forward. Is a torque 3.0 final release a realistic short-term goal? Would you consider calling for a vote on a feature freeze in order to attain this goal? I am curious as to whether or not Martin's comments with regards to turbine 2.2 being feature frozen would have at some time in the past also have applied to torque 3.0, but that this somehow got lost over the last few months with the lower than previous momentum of the turbine projects.
