Ok, that makes a lot of sense to me.

Anyone know how far away the next beta release is?

I've been following Torque for a few weeks or so now, and unless it's
hiding somewhere, beta 3 hasn't been released yet.

The developers just made a lot of changes (post-beta 2) to the
connection pooling so they've updated the documentation to reflect the
changes for people using the latest CVS version of Torque, so I imagine
this is the post-beta 2 reference you're seeing.

However, the only way to get anything newer than beta 2 is to build it
from CVS. Though do note that it's extremely easy with the maven build
process.

available?
