Torque supports addGroupByColumn, this is a Turbine question and belongs on turbine-user.
However, I imagine you're using the TDK 2.1 with the coupled Torque, hence it doesn't have the latest features/patches that the decoupled Torque does. Martin is working on a Turbine/TDK released 2. 2 that uses the decoupled Torque and would give you access to this addGroupByColumn method.
