I am new to Turbine I have a few questions that I wasn't able to find
answers to in the docs. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Is there a way to set a compiler property in the build files ? I want to use
jikes.
It seems that Turbine provides a very solid security framework to work with.
However I have some questions about using this service. I want to regulate
access and modification permissions to all database driven content. For
instance, I will have a tree of content to wich nodes I want to assign
individual security settings. On the other hand if no security is set for a
certain node I want it to inherit the security settings from the first
ancestor that does have security settings set. Are there any known solutions
to this problem ? How do I relate my tables to the Turbine schema tables ?
In database.dtd for torque it specifies that I can use the value BINARY for
the type attribute of the column element. However when I try to use it the
generated peer sources cannot be compiled. Is this a known issue? The same
thing happens for BOOLEANCHAR. I am using BOOLEANINT instead now but it
seems a waste as it translates to INT(11) in Mysql.
By the way, I find Turbine to be a great product, I am amazed at its
capabilities. If I find the time to do some work for the community I will be
happy to contribute. Suggestions of TODO's are welcome.
