Hi,

I sent the email below last week but heard no responses. I would
really appreciate some kind of response to the question.

Thanks

Subject: question about authentication

Hi,
I've been reading the turbine documentation and it's integration with
Jetspeed.

I want to have the turbine username and password information that it
stores in it's database to be used in authenticating with another
application that will serve as a portlet in jetspeed.

To be a little more clear, I need to integrate an application into
Jetspeed that requires user names and passwords. I want to use the
same username/password used to log into Jetspeed to be forwarded onto
my application as well.

Is there a way I can query the Turbine database to get this information ?
On an auxiallary question, I want to know if the Access Control List and
User Permissions can also be queried to be part of the information I
can pass onto my application.

Has there been any experience with this already ? Given that Turbine
is being deployed with many vendors, has this issue come up ?

Any and all answers will be much appreciated!

thanks
Elham Chandler
