DBConnection question/help ?

Hi,

I am trying to call (DBConnection).getDatabaseMetaData, at
the method isn't obviously defined in DBConnection. 
I'll assum that DBConnection is not equivalent to java.sql.Connection ?

Can some suggest a way which I can use the Turbine db service,
but still have access to the getDatabaseMetaData ?
