changing the layout

How do I change the layout being used?  There are some screens within my app that I 
would like to use a different layout.  I have the following link:

<a href="$link.setPage("/Admin.vm")">Administration</a>

After going through the docs it seemed that if I had an Admin.vm in the layouts that 
it would be found and used as the layout for this screen.   Is this what I need to do? 
 Or is there a more appropriate way to accomplish this?
