Doh... it is using cookies, you idiot...

So going back to june I finally found a thread that seemed to suggest this
behavior is expected and difficult to fix... ouch...

would it be possible to pass a userId around in my pages and log someone in
on the server side? so the they didn't have to log into their popup windows?
Sounds real messy... anyone handled this problem elegantly?
