Hi Everybody! I am looking at putting together a howto on tuning turbine for production environments. A minor barrier to my being able to do this is that I only have a basic idea of what might be tuned and how :-). The great thing about this list is that there is usually no shortage of ideas, so I am hoping that you might all throw your ideas, hints, etc. into the ring and I will try and pull them together into a single document. I want to include issues such as the following: - tuning the various caches - appropriate settings for the velocimacro parameters - appropriate methods for packaging classes and templates - appropriate logging settings (including velocity) - database connection pool tuning - idbroker settings - session timeout values - SSL configuration for login screens - anything else that others raise I think we can all benefit from bringing this information together. Now is your chance to provide your tip, hint, idea, solution, whatever that can be incorporated into this document. Contributions of issues as well as discussion of the details of a issue will be most welcome. I will try and summarise each issue as I add it to the document. Note that this document will initially focus on turbine 2.1.
