i'd say: correct
layout, navigation (e.g. header, footer, menu) and screen (content) are
three kinds of templates, whereas layout includes navigations and screen

Subject: Difference Between Layout, Template & Screen
Can someone please explain to me the difference between a Layout, Template
and Screen.
It appears to me that the word template is used just as a really an
adjective to Layout and Screen. The reason I say this is because a Layout
file is used as a cookie cutter (template) to place the navigation, and
screen in their spots. Then the screen file is used as a cookie cutter
(template) to fill in dynamic values into slots on the page.
Is my understanding of this correct?
Thanks,
