All of turbine was initially designed around a live file system. It's
something that would definitely be nice and I have always wanted a single
mechanism to acquire resources in a turbine application so there probably
isn't any reason why it couldn't be done. But it definitely won't work in
2.x and it doesn't work in 3.x now.
