I think turbine 3.0 is not being given too much consideration at the
moment - the next significant release is going to be turbine 2.2.
At the heart of turbine 3.0 and 2.2 are the separated torque and
fulcrum projects. There appears to be a lot of work going on right
now to get these working properly including the generation of the
appropriate test suites.
The proposed list of tasks was given on the turbine-dev list earlier
today:
1. Torque testbed completion, documentation and release.
2. Fulcrum testbed completion, documentation and release.
3. TDK will integrate the use of the decoupled Torque and Fulcrum.
4. TDK can be tested and released.
5. Work can continue on t3.
I assume items 3 & 4 are tdk 2.2.
I think some of these tasks are tantalisingly close to completion
and so I would actualy prefer the people that are working on them
to keep working on these rather than stopping to assist all of us
that are keen to move forward. But hey, we are all masters of our
own destiny and usually everyone is fairly keen to help.
It would be great to get some rough idea of when the above tasks
are targeted for completeion and when we can expect to see a
beta tdk 2.2 (I know jvz has one, but a more complete version
will be required for an average devloper such as myself).
I would like to extend my thanks to the people that are putting
in the hours and effort to move this stuff forward...
You guys rock!
