Mike, We have turbine running as both an NT Service and in an NT process and this problems comes up occasionally with both installs. You check the log file and it shows up in hex, then you check it again and it appears in ASCII. The next time this occurs, try copying your log file and changing the extension to *.txt. That worked for me.
