Set Header

Hi all
I would like to ask ifi can set a header in the data.getResponse()

because i try data.getRespone().setHeader("Status","404")  and i don't
get the page not found screen when the code is executed

What i want to do is when a specific error occurs not to show an error
screen but he page not found screen
Any ideas are welcome
