I was actually starting to think about the same thing... I have two different webapps, but want to do Single signon between the two. Jetspeed is not enough for this, do not want to write a whole reverse proxy.
I am also considering how mod_proxy could be used to front end the disparate web applications, but still need a portal for it. jetspeed + mod_proxy?
