read the docs on maven site,
and
cvs co jakarta-turbine-3
ant -f build-maven.xml maven:update-jars
ant -f build-maven.xml maven:jar
Build Failed with this error message:

/soft/projs/maven/build-test.xml:383: Could not create task of type:
junit. Common solutions are to use taskdef to declare your task, or, if
this is an optional task, to put the optional.jar in the lib directory

do you have such a build error building turbine-3 ?
