Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this thread is concerned with turbine 2.1. I am pretty sure there are issues with extending TurbineUser under turbine 2.2b1 that are yet to be looked at too carefully. I myself am a fair way off having the time to delve into this. Turbine 3 is another story altogether. I don't recall anyone that is using turbine 3 mentioning an attempt to extend TurbindUser. That said, I am sure that comments on experiences people have had with these would be most welcome.
