Depending on how the stack of poo piles up for me, I might take it. Some of it will depend on getting a better understanding of the other items that I had in that email, which I hope to absorb soon. The one I am working on right now is simply getting Turbine to come up under JBoss 3; as it stands, it loses track of the tmp directory that the deployer explodes things to near the end of the Turbine boot. It shouldn't take long to track down and patch though. Given my current cash situation (pretty crappy), I either need to take the shortest path to completion (which may include some hack on the DBSecurityManager to integrate with the auth tables I'd be using in JBoss or tweak the JBoss security manager to match the Turbine tables) or finding some small contracts that are win-win (like, does anyone have any paying grunge work in this area...) My other email gives an idea of where I am going with what I plan to accomplish, if anyone needs a soldier of fortune for something similar, we could work out a good deal since it would benefit both of us.
