It should deploy no problem. We have bee running Jetspeed 1.3a1, Jetspeed 1.3a2 and
now Jetspeed 1.4b1 for over a year, repectively and have run into no significant
problems as Tomcat has moved forward.

I would recommend creating a war with the TDK and then deploying it in Tomcat and
working through any issues. You will then have the ability to move your application
anytime you want. It's nice having the TDK but it's better when you understand so you
can move it around without the overhead of the TDK.

One thing you can to do to better understand Turbine is to learning how to run Turbine
from the command line or from within your IDE. I use it for some standalone non-web
type applications.

Subject: deploying an app developed with Turbine to stock Tomcat 4.0.5

Hi all,

I am working on deploying a production server for an app that the developers
have used Turbine speed development (TDK 2.1). I will not have the app to
deploy for a couple of weeks and I need to get the server ready. Will an
app developed using the TDK deploy to a vanilla instance is Tomcat?

Thanks,

Kent
