Regular expressions are very well documented on their own. I would go and look at the Regexp and ORO projects (both at Jakarta) to find some further documentation on regular expressions in general. I'm not sure that is what you were looking for...

Thanks Marc,

I wonder if there a document giving a bit more detail on how to use
regexp? the one given below has only introductions to some general info on
regexp.

Merry Xmas

This question is probably related to my Perl/PHP background. There may
be a better alternative in Turbine/in-Take/Criteria, if there is,
please let me know.

My FORM contains a keyword in a field. To match all rows that contains
this keyword requires regular expression. My questions are:

1. Can I extract datum from one field in a row to perform Regular
Expression comparison ?

See http://jakarta.apache.org/turbine/turbine-2/howto/intake-howto.html
Intake has a validation for RegExp:
<rule name="mask" value="yourregexpresion">Error message for regular
expression failed</rule>

2. Where can I find a good link on Regexp How-to or whatever is used
by Java2 now?

As far as I know Intake uses the Apache RegExp
http://jakarta.apache.org/regexp/index.html
