Hi
I get:

[ERROR] maven.repo.local not set

regardless of what args I do or don't give to the maven
/bin/sh script running on cygwin
(CYGWIN_NT-5.0 S117SNIK037338 1.3.12(0.54/3/2) 2002-07-06 02:16 i686
unknown).

Obviously this is a newbie question. I've just downloaded maven to
check out Jelly, or more specifically JellySwing. Trying to run it under
cygwin on Win2K (sorry, I'm between linux boxes at home at the moment,
and this is for work anyway).

Anyway, using a project.xml and maven.xml copied from the jakarta websites,
I can't seem to get past this.

Since I barely know ant and had never heard of maven, I'm a bit
overwhelmed.
Is there anything like an "O'Reilly" book for this stuff yet?

Also, since maven does look interesting, but my immediate goal is to get to
Jelly{Swing,SWT} and see if I can't find / help with a JellyJSP, am I
taking the right approach? I mean, if Jelly is THE scripting language
for maven, and Jelly requires maven, it seems there's a bit of a
circular dependency, leading me to believe that perhaps I'm going
about this wrong. Is there some sort of:

     java .... -jar org.apache.maven.jelly demo:swing

way to check this out quickly to see if I even like it?

Finally, is there a way to use JellySwing for generating GUI's w/
setLayout(null)?
That's how I got here (abandoning "thinlets" for the moment) in the first
place,
after all.

Thanks for any and all replies,

Keith
