Anything is doable.  The question is how much effort will you have to
put into it to make it work.

Turbine's scheduler is very easy to use and can handle the job
scheduling part without a problem.  

I would also suggest that you look at the James project.  You might be
able to extend it to process the mail as it is received.  Perhaps they
support plugins or something...  I have never really looked at that
project.
