Hi Stephan, you are right that the start with tourbine is pretty rough. But my experience is not that bad. I startet with TDK 2.2 somthing about a half year ago and i had a lot of trouble in the first time, but thanx to the mailing list and its archiv and for sure a lot of time spending on doing experiments with turbine, i managed it and what you'll get is great. I would'nt miss tourbine in any of my next projects. If you managed the first difficulty you will get a wonderfull support for webdevelpment 4 free.

It _really_ IS frustrating! And the documentation is... ...well is there a documentation? Although I followed each single step of the HOWTO, I couldn't get the sample app working! And the link at the HOWTO page only leads to the 2.1 version of the TDK. A link to the new 2.2 ist missing! And because the new TDK 2.2 only referrs to the online-HOWTO (which is for TDK 2.1) I couldn't get this working either! Now I got it running but only because of the great TDK 2.2 HOWTO, Eduardo A. dela Rosa sent me! This should be on the Turbine Website! > Job of the TDK is IMHO to help > newbies over these hurdles. Full ACK! But it definitly does _not_! > If you start with something completely new and nothing works > then this leads to endless frustration. It _realy does_! And I guess that is one of the main reasons, why Turbine is less popular than it could be! Newbies (like me) are having so many problems to try it out, because of a buggy TDk and an even worse documentation! Turbine is really very hard to start with!
