I found the between my local tomcat installation and the remote one.

It's the entry in tomcat_home/conf/web.xml

    <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>invoker</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/servlet/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

Now it works.
