WhatFreemarker are you talking of?

The last time I looked at Freemarker (two weeks ago: version 1.5.2)
I found nothing in it speaking of servlets. I found it to be just some
kind of service-class:
"I have the name of a template-file and I have the property-tree of
business data. Freemarker would you please mix the two and write it
to this OutputStream."
According to my analysis this describes Freemarker...

WebMacro and Cocoon, on the other hand, are more of servlets...
