this design was published in a four part series in SoftwareDeveloper
magazine in 98' (issues 1-4) and the first time i read it, it blew my mind.
I was sure that shortly after there would be a "commercial" version of it
that i alone could not compete with but.... NOT! and every "commercial"
attempt at this concept i've run across is just as you said "...crappy..."
