looking at it further...

I would implement it as a Turbine Service.

I would remove the System.out.println()'s and replace them with the Turbine
Log class (you already have that in a few places). Also, Log.error (e) will
do the printStackTrace for you.

Would it be wise to use equalsIgnoreCase in the comparisons instead? I don't
know if XML tags should be case sensitive or not.
