Hi,

I have sent the something similar already to the Jyve list,
but it is also a turbine issue.

After two weeks out of office I had a look into all these changes in
the Turbine code. Now I have some question about the
strategy of turbine (and jyve) concerning the user administration.
Earlier there were the permissions like "add_user", "modify_user",
"add_permission", "modify_permission", "add_group" and "modify_group".
After reading some soure code of Turbine I could find the permission
checks replaced by a role check: .hasRole("user_admin")

My questions:

1) Are these mentioned permissions (add/modify user/group/permission)
obsolete and fully replaced by this role check now?

2) Who is working on this user administration stuff? Only Dave? Or also
others? (I couldn't get this information out of the cvs log anymore
because of the recent reorganization of the code.)

3) Are there already plans to "finish" the user administration features?

Sorry, in case this was discussed before in the lists...
I simply was not able to read carefully enough through all those 500
emails after coming back to office yesterday...

Have fun!

c.u. Bernie
