Yes, i tried the same thing and it simply doesn't work because
the JDBC-Driver that comes with Sybase doesn't support
ResultSet::getTableName(). Even a third party driver like Openlink
can't implement this function since the tabular data stream doesn't
contain the information about the Tables in a query. Unfortunately
the village-framework uses this method.
Sybase announced this method for ASE 12.5.
Maybe a workaround for village is possible.
But i don't have a particular idea.
Not very helpful.
