There was an involved discussion on Sybase's mailing list for Jconnect,
asking when Sybase would be implementing the routines that currently are
not... Sybase's response was that they had no current plans to do so.

I think it is worth pointing out that MS SQL Server uses TDS as well, and
also doesn't work with Village.
