Right, but the problem is that most Peers also have additional stuff in them
added on after the fact. Management of the autogeneration stuff + extra
stuff would be a royal pain in the ass. This is actually another reason I
don't like JSP..."what if" you wanted to modify the autogenerated servlet
for some crazy reason?

If you take a look at the latest beta of Town
<http://www.working-dogs.com/town/>, it does a pretty good job of doing the
autogeneration stuff except that it is generated from a db.schema instead of
a xml file...this is probably a good approach until someone writes an
XML->DB Schema generator...i noticed that Kevin started working on this in
Jetspeed...i really wish he would put this stuff into Turbine instead so
that we can re-use it more easily...

I agree! I have spent the last two days seriously pondering ways around this
problem! ;-( I don't want to commit my XMLDatabaseMapMaker until we have a
good idea for a solution for this...I'm totally willing to work on the
implementation as long as it doesn't involve autogenerating code...
